Each summer the Jazz Arts Project presents a series of jazz concerts in an intimate cafe setting.  2010’s program was a smash hit, as we presented world-class  artists Wayne Escoffery and Cecil Brooks III, Aaron Weinstein and Valerie Ponomarev.

Aaron Weinstein in the middle of his duo performance with the great pianist Ted Firth. Aaron brought the house down with his stunning renditions of old standards and original material.
The Great Valery Ponomarev plays a solo. Valery is an alumnus of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. His playing evokes memories of Clifford Brown and Freddie Hubbard, and his show was outrageously entertaining.
Marlene VerPlanck is an extremely talented vocalist whose singing wowed the crowd.
The great tenorist Wayne Escoffery played two sets of originals with an allstar cast of musicians. We cant wait to hear the record!
