This event will feature a “Legends & Lions” style performance with world-renowned jazz legend, Paquito D’Rivera, performing alongside the Jazz Arts Academy students a.k.a. the “Lions.” The students will alternate tunes and trade solos, showcasing the music skills they have honed during their Fall Semester at Jazz Arts Academy.
As the premier jazz education program in the region, Jazz Arts Academy offers a jazz education that promotes self expression and develops teamwork and a lasting respect for others. Our jazz education focuses on providing students the tools and skills to navigate planned and improvised musical situations. These skills are not easy to cultivate and we are so proud of our students’ hard work and dedication. Jazz Arts Academy prides ourselves on helping our students become not only well-rounded musicians, but also well-rounded people.
Jazz Arts Project offers need-based financial assistance to those families who qualify.
