Mr. Farber is in constant demand as a multi-facetted reedman.  He is a charter member of our very own Red Bank Jazz Orchestra and has appeared on our stages on many occasions.  A sampling of some of the groups or artists he has performed with are: Jazz @ Lincoln Center Orchestra, Wynton Marsalis, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Artie Shaw Band, The Harry James Band, Illinois Jacquet Big Band, Vince Giordano's Nighthawks, Jon Hendricks, Shirley Horn, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Catherine Russell,  Bob Dorough, Banu Gibson, Kevin Spacey, Wynona Judd, Andy Stein's Blue Four, Hilary Kole, Marcus Roberts, Bobby Short, The Onyx Club Sextet, etc.

When not playing jazz, Andy composes music for television, and film, at Duotone Audio Group and Storefront Music in NYC and writes arrangements for an impressive list of famous artists, ensembles, and orchestras.  He is the director of the BMI Jazz Composers Workshop and teaches Jazz composition at the Juilliard School in NYC and Purchase College.  Farber's arrangements have been performed by The Boston Pops Orchestra, the Philly Pops Orchestra, the Boca Pops Orchestra, and several symphony orchestras throughout Europe. Farber has been a guest conductor of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, and in 2004 made his symphonic conducting debut with the Bronx Arts Ensemble. His work as an arranger, conductor and instrumentalist can be heard on numerous recordings, with 4 albums under his own name as leader including the latest effort, Early Blue Evening, out now on ArtistShare.com!
