2025 International Jazz Day

In April, Jazz Arts Project Stepped into the Jazz Age and Celebrated its 20th Years as a nonprofit organization with a roaring 20’s theme Gala Performance & Fundraiser.

As 2025 year marks a milestone we celebrated 20 years of unforgettable jazz and artistry with an evening that blended the glamor of the Roaring '20s with the rhythms that shaped an era. Hundreds of friends and patrons Joined us for a spectacular fundraiser and tribute to the genre’s rich legacy as part of UNESCO’s International Jazz Day. This event brought together music lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and those ready for a Great Gatsby-style party. This will truly be a night to remember.

A Festival of Elegance & Jazz

Imagine a jazz-infused spectacle featuring four incredible bands, two stages, and a feast of delectable charcuterie, exquisite drinks, and decadent desserts. This isn’t just a concert—it’s a living, breathing celebration of the Jazz Age then and now. And our friends made it so much fun and dressed to impress all within a Great Gatsby style. They came adorned in period attire— flapper dresses, fedoras, bowties, etc. — as we stepped into an era of sophistication and revelry. And for those looking to sip on something special, a cash bar stocked with expertly crafted cocktails, craft beer, wine, and spirits was offered—perfect for raising a glass to 20 years of jazz. The event was hosted by our friends at Triumph Restaurant and Brewery and it proved to be such a fun night that everyone was thrilled to party hearty.

Attendees will also witnessed the presentation of the annual “Jazz Arts Hero” awards, honoring those who have made a significant impact on jazz and/or have been instrumental in supporting the nonprofit's enduring success. This year's recipients were community leader, Author, journalist, playwright, educator Gilda Rogers, and venerated jazz musician Warren Vaché.

A Star-Studded Musical Lineup:

  • The Anderson Brothers Rip Roarin' 1920s Orchestra,

  • featuring special guest Warren Vaché

  • Also appearing: The Eddie Allen Quintet, the Sunken City Sax Quartet,

  • and the Jazz Arts Academy Allstars.

This annual event is not only a celebration but also a meaningful fundraiser. All proceeds from tickets and sponsorships directly benefit the Jazz Arts Project’s music education programs for area youth, helping to foster the next generation of jazz musicians and enthusiasts.
