Summer Jazz Cafe returns to Red Bank's Two River Theater!This year Jazz Arts Project presents an exciting array of world-class jazz artists in a summer long festival that begins at one of Red Bank's premier performing arts venues. The Summer Jazz Cafe has proven to be an ever-popular series since the inaugural season of this organization. Over the ensuing years we have hosted some of the worlds premier jazz musicians including Bruce Williams, Bucky Pizzarelli, Claudio Roditi, The Duke Ellington Legacy Band, Gene Bertoncini, Jay Leonhart, Joe Locke, John Colliani, Lew Soloff, Morris Nanton, Norman Simmons, Virginia Mayhew, Warren Vache and Wayne Escoffrey, Even celebrity Entertainer/Singer Joe Piscopo dropped in for a few shows. This year we are thrilled to be returning to the beautiful performance space with perfect acoustics for classic jazz; Two River Theater, where it all began in the summer of 2006. Join us each Friday and Saturday evening beginning Friday June 5th through June 27th at 8PM in an intimate setting; cafe tables, candlelight, coffee, tea, delectable treats, and GREAT JAZZ! Opening Weekend - June 5th & 6th Terry Waldo & His Gotham City All-Stars with Joe Muranyi (the last surviving member of the Louis Armstrong All Stars) along with Jazz & Blues Singer, Broadway star Ruth Brisbane (Black & Blue, Raisin, The Wiz) and Arnie Kinsella, who played drums on Garrison Keillor's A Prarie Home Companion. June 12th & 13th Warren Vache with Nikki Parrott who the Washington Times calls "The most astonishing new jazz musician we have seen in years."
